So what your story on the big foot lore?

Elusive creatures. I think through tedious scouting I have found where they hide, etc.

They have been classified as aliens to avoid/create confusion.

Walker,

I talk to different Mexicans quite a bit as they have become common here and are good workers.

Every single one I know from Veracruiz(sp?) is thoroughly convincing telling of UFOs sighted there regularly.

For so many to be convinced, I often think there is something to it. When I ask if it could be military stuff, some say maybe, but some laugh and say not possible.

Makes me wonder.

I had to do a research paper on an animal in 5th grade, and I picked the Loch Ness Monster. I always enjoy reading about such creatures, it is entertaining, and some what educational. Fossil records indicate that a bigfoot like animal did exist. It was called Gigantopithicus. It was a giant form of gorilla, and if I recall correctly, there may have been some evidence that it was bipedal (walked on two legs). Here is some reading for you.

I would like to think that such a thing could exist, but I find it really difficult. There is too much technology today to find one if you really wanted to. I mean we have forward looking infrared radar that is used by police helicopters to locate criminals, motion sensors, automatic cameras, etc. Crazy things do happen though. The Celocanth turned up off the coast of Africa, and was thought have died out like 200 millions years ago or something. They recently discovered a completely new species of bovine (cow) in Viet Nam. Cougars are extinct in Louisiana according to the wildlife agency, but they are on the protected animals list in the Louisiana game guides and regulations the state puts out? I am sure there are other creatures left to be dicovered, and maybe some will die out before they are discovered. Did you know that a species of mammoth lived on some islands off the coast of Siberria as recently as 1,000 years ago?
Also, recently an isolated group of Indian elephants was discovered that has GIANT animals in it. On of the big bulls measures 13 feet at the shoulder, and has some really funny looking bumps on his head. Scientist think it is a throw back to a prehistoric gene that has popped up in this group since they are so isolated. Indian elephants have not been known to grow to 13 feet high! I agree that there is some hokie pokie stuff out there, but there are some genuine facts too. Where Bigfoot falls into this I have no clue. I would like to believe in it, but would be absolutely shocked if it were proven to exist.

Now space men is a different story. There is life in space. It would be arrogant of us to think there was not. The area you are talking about is so large that you can not even fathom it. How far is a million light years in miles, and the nearest galaxy to us is how many light years away? Statistically the odds would favor millions if not billions of earth like planets in other solar systems. Whether or not our technology ever advances enough to reach out and touch some one that far away....Who knows. There is an aweful lot of distance out there seperating us from other solar systems. I personally think a lot of UFO sightings are military aircraft. I mean how many years did we have the stealth fighter before it became public knowledge during the war in Panama? I don't know if it would even be possible to travel to other galaxies, and I don't know if other life is intelligent enough to figure that out, but statistically it could happen. It happened here on earth, why not on some of the other (billions) of earth like planets? For some great time killing reading go to www.google.com, (http://www.google.com,) and search for cryptozoology. There is all sorts of stuff to read reguarding such topics.

LOL I was just reading the same subject over at my homestate's message board. It seems some people have come across some tracks that they couldn't identify in the Hoosier National Forest. It turns out the tracks were made by a sloth bear that escaped from its owner. I can't verify the validity of this story, but it got a good laugh from me.

Gigantopithcus was bipeadel i do know that much. though much like gorillias, i believe that it probably did use it hands for locomotion when it needs to. as for strange things happening in nature, scientists found a human skeleton in the midwest some time ago that was fossilized. naturally first though was that is was paleoindian in origin, and native ameracins wanted to take the skeleton, and bury it as a tribe member. here is where the wierd part come in, it was 3 million years old, about 1 1/2 or 2 million years older then humans lived in the US. even if you thought that was wierd, it cant compare to the fact that it was European in origin. most ethnisities have differences in physical form, and this was nothing like a native americans form.....wierd.

Im sure there are people on other planets. But I have my doubts about the Loch Ness Monster and BigFoot. I would be more suprised if they found big foot then Nessie, but either way you would think they would have found them already.

Bigfoot and Nessie sightings will continue as long as the locals can make a buck from tourists looking for them.
