Smell is BAD!

Walked in to re-bait the area and the smell in there is really bad! Kinda hit's you right in the face! I spread the corn all over instead of putting it in a pile... Looks like a D-5 Cat was in there over night! We went in at 10:45 as to not interupt the hogs... Guess what, we no sooner then walked in and talked about the smell, and hogs were coming in. We hid in the palmetto's as a group of small pigs came in, then a big old sow came in with three little once. All the bait was gone, so they didn't stick around long. We spread the bait and started the second station. We spread the bait in the areas we wanted to clear shooting lanes. I can't believe the total distruction these animals can do to thick lush area.

Seems a mid-day hunt is in order. Now I need to go buy a gas mask so I can stand the smell. lol

I guess that means your hog is dead close by, or did I miss where you found him?

Was it the smell of hogs or was it the smell of that dead pig? You said you tracked him into the swamp which was a 100 yards away so I don't think the smell was him. Sounds like there is plenty of hog smell there. Sounds like you got pig feces everywhere and everything else pigs do right there. You got them hooked for sure it sounds like. Good job bro! Did you cut back on the corn any this time?

All I can say is, I'm glad I have rubber boots! lol.

Yes I cut the feed down to about 15 lbs at the first sight, I spread 150 lbs at the second location to get it started.
