Levergunner and I(BaconRind) killed a nice 200lb boar tonight. Found him under a feeder all cute and innocent till Levergunner's 30/30 found a shoulder. The pig was about to make a mad dash when my .223 ballistic tip found his ear drum and the pig made peace with God. I taught Levergunner how to gut a pig real fast and we made it for the house. Oh yea, saw about 100 deer with one deer pushing 165B&C. Fun fun day!!

I forgot too add Levergunner brought his new XMAS present, a 336 Murderer(he can spell it correctly) and it turned that pig around like Bobby Brown, just slapped that 'ol pig around. The pig did the one leg dirt circle and was headed to the promise land when promise land found him in the ear. Good hunting Levergunner...
tomorrow smells like death already..

John,
We don't make gut piles with hogs. No sense in it. We Bubba Butcher them. Gutting is a waste of time. You can quarter it and take the backstrapswithout gutting them. The inner tender loin is not even worth gutting. They are nothing like a deer. Also if you do want the ribs which noone here does, all you have to do is take some snips after you are done with the straps and just snip them out. Never any need for gutting. Maye one day I'll day some pics and post them for you guys. I can have a pig in the cooler in about 30 minutes if there is not to much BSing going on. ;) That is never messing with any gut. :D tongue.gif

BaconRind left his camera at home yesterday, so no pics of this one, he tipped the scales around 230 though. Thanks for the Kudo's ya'll. And it's a Marlin 336 Marauder, not a murderer, though I suppose it could be considered as such.

Bacon/Lever,
We'll let you guys ride on this one but don't try that forgot the camera thing again. Its 2 of you so one of you should have a camera.lol ;)

John,
Yeah these pigs are a blast and to me they do cut different. As far as how they taste there is not a bit of difference in store bought other than you better cook them slow. Otherwise they are tough as leather.

Thanks!! I do apologize for the pictureless pig but the other day I was going to take a picture of about 50 deer and 20+ turkeys on my feeder and they all bolted out of there. I will be posting some pictures soon, but posting pictures of does dosen't get me going unless it is a young hunter. I have slayed many a doe this season. This is the first hog of many this year I promise.

Levergunner, that fat as$ went 230lbs huh!!?!! ALmost as much as me, damn, he was a stocky stocky dude. DINNER IS ON YOU!!! graemlins/yesnod3.gif

LEVERGUNNER,

What did the tusk measure? I remember looking at them but I never grabbed them, was breathing too hard after dragging him up the damn hill!!! Measure them, I am going to say over an inch and up to 1 3/4 inch, he was a young boar.

That was a heck of a hill to drag him up, His tusks measured 2" even.

Levergunner,

That blind is off limites unless we see a Muy Grande down there and then he better score 180+ or he walks, that hill should be blown up.

Keep that skule and I will boil him, should make a good Euro.
