Hit the stand today. Had a lone red sow come in 10 minutes after climbing into the tree. About 5:10 ET a black sow and piglets came in. Ten minutes later I heard something to my right and here comes this big black Boar. He get's to 35 yards and looks toward the other hog's making a ton of noise feeding. He just stares at them. I'm thinking, come on bud, run in and chace then li'l ones off the bait... Nope! He turns and goes the other way about 30 yards and starts rooting. Then he walks back toward the swamp??????? graemlins/mrbang2.gif
I can't figure these dudes out? One day they charge the other pigs off the bait, next time they walk away???
It was still fun seeing all the pigs.

Not a problem, I'll snap some shots in the am. I'm in a stand now so I can't take the camcorder as it's not quite big enough. Digger is sending me his strap on camera mount so I can use it from the stand and get some more video.

Here ya go. Everything that looks like fresh dirt hauled in... Thats what these pigs did to this area. They are like little holediggers. :D
This is a shot from the tree stand.

This is the original feeding site... This was all weeds and small palmettos before they excavated the site. lol

Great pics Rod !BTW this is Hatracked for whatever reason Ive been logged out and despite trying multiple times for two days to get my login info sent the auto respond aint working on the site. I finally gave up and just reregistered with a new email and all.
Anyhow , aint that something else how they turn up the dirt like that. Get that area turned up some more and throw some food plot seed down !!! LOL Just kidding you'll never get a thing to grow in there as long as the pigs are present.
Cant wait to get down there and try some Florida pork , just hunting in the different vegatation will be neat enough.

Hat, Hope you get your identity back. lol I'm almost ready for our hunt. I really want to kill one before we make the trip. I need to get my shot placement confidence back. I was going to shoot a big black sow last night... (Biggest sow I have seen yet)But she has small utters??? didn't know if she was nursing or pregnant. She was by her self at first, then the piglets showed up, but they are the sholts I've been seeing that will now go about 40 lbs... Are they still nursing at that size? Also, how do you know a sow is pregnant? I noticed in the info we got from Trevor, he asked us not to shoot Pregnant or nursing sows????
JEP, I should have walked over and snapped a pic of where the pepper thicket starts... You have to go through it on your hands and knee's. Little scary when you're tracking a wounded pig that you think should be dead within 50 yards... 100 yards later, you're still following blood... and still on your kness's and couldn't stand up if you wanted to... graemlins/icon_smile_dead.gif LOL, But hey, you'll find out next year when you come down and hunt hogs with us... Right???? lol
