OK Gents, I'll get this going. Here is a pic of my biggest boar to date. He weighed in at about 200. I was taking some guys hunting that had just couldn't get on the hogs. I told them that I would have them on them in less than an hour. We parked the truck and walked a quarter mile up a firebreak when I said hold up, you hear that. They said no what is it. I said look right there. 20 yards into the edge of the thicket was a couple of 60 pounders. I said OK guys go ahead and sneak up real slow and shootem in the transmission. That's the shoulder for you non southern boys. Well these guys go and try to make the shot and blow it. The first guy shoots at them and misses. The second misses also and the pigs run off. I'm just sittin back laughing my but off. I tell them lets go somewhere else and I'll find them one. Well they said no they really like the area and were going to stalk and find one here. I said aight, I'll be back in a couple to check on them. Well I did come back alright, with this pig. They just didn't listen. They didn't get anything or see anything else. I went to a spot that has some thin young pines and some blackberries together. In the summer this spells success. I snuck in there downwind and started easing through the pines and saw this pig about 250 yards off. I got within 20 yards before I drew. He was quartering to me so I let her slip. The arrow hit right behind the shoulder and came out a bit back. The pig ran a hundred yards or so and got into a ditch. I stalked back up on him and watched him for a couple of minutes. I didn't think he was ever gona die. He just stood there while I watched him bleed. I couldn't belive he wouldn't drop so I stuck him again and this time he went less than 30. If you look close at the pic you can see both holes. The first is back and the second is forward. I shot him on the left side both times. Both holes you see are exits. I shot him with my bow, G2, PSE Carbon Arrows, 100 grain MR T. Pic tells it all. He made good sausage. I ground him all, straps and all. He had balls the size of a baseball.

Wow nice hogg, a friend of mine where I used to live killed a boar this summer that weighed close to 300lbs he had some rippers too, biggest pig I have ever seen. But he shot him with a rifle so it might have not been quite as exciting as you hunt.

Ok, here is the story behind my biggest hog since you already know the story on my smallest hog.
I had been rifle hunting deer and not happy about what I was seeing. Hatracked had been preaching his usual sermon on hunting thickets, so I took him up on it and away I went. I had my rifle in hand, and my tree lounge on my back. I was slipping though the woods as quietly as possible, just looking for a good spot to hunt. I knew where an old pecan orchard was back in the woods along a bayou that had become over grown. I had that spot in mind, but was willing to set up on any fresh sign I found. Well, I got back to the spot, and I saw a flash of brown move in the thicket under the pecan trees. I knelt down, to get a better look, and just saw bits and pieces of it moving away. I waited for 15 mintues, but it never turned, and I lost sight of it. I decided this was as fresh a sign as I could find, so I eased over to the first good tree and started putting the treelounge on it. I was moving very slow and quiet as to try and not spook whatever it was I had just seen. I thought it was a deer. I get everything set up and took the bullet out of my action. I tied the rifle to my pull rope and stepped into the climber. When I look back to see the position of my gun before I start my climb, I saw a big red boar just standing out there broadside 30 yards behind me. There was a small black hog with him at about 20 yards. Talk about being caught with your pants down. I stepped out of the stand as slowly as I could, picked the rifle up, and tried to load it slowly. This caused the bullet to get all junked up in the action, so I took it out and dropped it, and drove the action home to load the next round. The hogs were still standing there, so I drew a bead on the big red boar, and cut loose. He dropped instantly. The black one then ran straight at me for about 5-10 yards. It was not a charge, she just had no clue where the noise had come from. While she was running,I cylced the bolt again, and when she stopped, BOOM. Down she goes. So I never even got in my stand before the action started. This boar tipped in close to 200 pounds. He had numerous scars, fresh and old from fights. Some were still bleeding. He was built a little differently than our usual hogs, and I am not sure if that is becuase he is more mature, or had more Russian influence. His snout was longer than normal for us, and his teeth were better than average for us. I had heard talk about hogs having a shield, but never noticed it on any of the ones I killed before. This guy was almost armor plated. He stopped the 154 grain bullet from my 7 Mag on the off shoulder. The entrace hole looked like someone punched a hole in cardboard with a hole punch. There was not blood at all. Upon skinning him, I was amazed at how thick this plate was. I mounted him since he had decent teeth, and was an unusual color. When the sun hits him jsut right, he gets a golden ting to him.
Here are some more pics of him.

I will have to bring my digital camera to work, so it will be a day or two. He has a split lip that needs to be repaired. He took a trip to the floor from the wall.
