Here are a few pics to get this forum started off right. Here are a few I have taken. Wish I had pictures of all of them, but for several years we didn't even take pics of pigs.
Here is one I stepped on asleep in some of the tall rush in this picture. I was stalking a sow and some shoats when this dude exploded out from under my feet. Shot him in the snout at about 10 ft with a 7mm Rem Mag.

Later on in the week we went back in the area after the sow and she gave us the slip, however, we seperated her from some of the shoats, and it was curtains for 3 of them.

Here is a pair I shot while hooking my trrelounge up one afternoon. The boar went almost 200 pounds, and some decent cutters.

Here is his hardware, not the biggest, but the biggest I have killed on my lease so far.

Here is the Thank God dad ran out of bullets picture. He dropped the hammer on an empty chamber that would have dropped a 4th hog. It was with a bolt action, get on with your bad self pop.

And this one needs no introduction. It is practically famous on this site

This little dude was in the wrong place at the wrong time. I jumped some hogs, nd ran up a hill to cut them off as they crossed a road. Well, hogs started busting out of the grass and I picked a nice big sow. She was trotting across the road at about 30 yards. I dropped down, and got her in my scope. I put it on her ear and let it rip. To my surprise she ran away as if nothing happened. I could not believe I missed so I walked over to look for blood and here this guy laid dead as a hammer with a bullet hole in his ear. I guess somewhere in the mayhem I got the wrong pig in the scope. He ate good.

How do you post pictures on here? I have a couple mounted in the garage and a skull or two around here. I've got quite a few pictures from the past 15 or so years with a few good un's. I just can't figure out how to post them.

sniper,
If you have a scanner you have to scan them then post them to a site that you can put pics on. I use hunt101 and also awsome antlers. I'll post the links below for you. If you can't get them posted that way then you can email me the pics and I'll post them for you. If you can't scan them then let me know and I'll give you my address to mail them so that I can get them posted for you. If this doesn't help reply that I'm an idiot and you need more help from someone a bit more competent. I'll get you to the right person.lol

Damn! I finally figured it out. Here's a hog that we caught with two dogs in '89. It was in the 425ish range. As you can see we couldn't carry it out so we used a bush hog on the back of a Ford tractor. The front end kept bouncing. He was eating a woman's sweet potato crop in behind her house. He's got 3 3/8" of teeth with 1" bases. http://www.hunt101.com/img/067714.jpg

That has to be a Catahoula. Those are some huge hogs. I got a report today that a 350 pounder was taken off our lease two days ago by a blackpowder hunter.

Those are some super pics! That one boar was sportin some huge ****s. The mount is awsome also. What do you guys do with them after you catch them? Most of the guys I know that run dogs sell them to hunting camps, or so I hear.

I dug up this one from last year. This was a young guy named Drew that we took under our wing to get into bowhunting last year. This was his first bowkill , 325 lbs , decent tusks.

John
We only use a few dogs and a 8" knife.
Rickey
We use to remove them from people's property, hunting clubs that wanted 'em gone, and nuicence hogs and release them on a big lease property. We did trophy boar hunts on that property.

That mount belongs to a friend of mine. I can't quite remember who did it. I think, if memory serves me correctly, it was done around '91 or so.

I remember one hunt in particular where we took a 'Nam Vet who was an attorney or something at the time. He told lots of blood and guts stories from Vietnam. He was wearing a heavy military sweater(olive drab with the padded shoulders). We caught an aggressive 325# boar and had him down. We called him in to make the kill and he pulls out a .38 graemlins/rotflmao1.gif . "No,no, we use knives here". So one of the guys handed him a knife and told him what to do. When he pushed the knife in, the hog reared back and bit him on the arm and pulled the sleeve right off that military sweater. He was so spooked that he sat on the 4 wheeler white as a ghost and asked for a cigarette and he didn't even smoke!!!! graemlins/rotflmao1.gif

If any one cares I've been out to Greenswamp three times for their early hunt and have yet to see anything except squrrels after four days of heavy hunting, amount of hunters, they still have 0 deer recorded at the East check point and One at the west check station,I think there has been 3 hogs, also they are now Logging in the East end of the swamp, just in time for hunting season, Great timing. Still hopeing, maybe have to leave the state to hunt. Tampa Area

Golden,
Hell, I think I'm in hog haven and still go a couple weeks sometimes without seeing a pig. Sometimes it's just that way. Hopefully you'll hit them soon. Good luck bro!

That's the way I like them longhorn! Small ones eat alot easier, clean alot easier and sure as hell drag alot easier! Also helps control the herd a hell of alot more! I wish everyone would start shooting more of those around here. Those 50-75 pounders are perfect for the table. I've got to where now I just smoke that a$$ no matter how big they are. Don't get me wrong, sometimes I let one walk but you can take it to the bank it doesn't happen to often. We have way to many pigs here. They have gotten to the point of being uncontrollable.
