Bacon, what would the dates be,and how much cost, and can I hunt archery?I never have hunted Aoudad, but I hear it's one of the toughest trophies to hunt with archery gear, therefore I will be giving it a try sometime.

I have hunted this Ranch before, killed a very big Aoudad as well. I am hoping to get a good group rate of about 1200 each, but this will include everything you can think of. You are very true, Aoudad with a bow is a SOB. Hell, my brute on the wall took 7 shots to bring down with three different guns. If you have ever seen one up close their eyes are huge, my dad always said they can read a newspaper at 300 yards :) I am going to add another animal or two to my list on this hunt but Aoudad are fun so I am trying to get some others to go as well, share the experience.

Bacon, I don't know if the PM I sent ya' went through,or not;Is this ranch have good areas that favor bowhunting? Is it high fence? What all is included in this price? And what dates are ya' kicking around right now? The price sounds excellent and A couple of us may be interested, just being able to get off on the dates is our biggest deal. Thanks,Mike T
PS;Kentucky Redneck,Here's ya' a pic. of an Aoudad, some of us refer to em' as a "Poor Man's Big Horn".They're really a good-looking sheep and trophy to hunt.

Just to clear up the seven shots with three different guns I shot him with my .243 three times(missed once) then grabbed my dad's gun(.270) and hit him twice(missed twice) and walked up on him and shot him with my 1911 .45 Colt twice when he tried to run again. Very tough animals, he was missing a leg when he finally died and it never slowed him up. Tough..tough...
Since I am not big into bow(YET) I am not sure. I will call the owner and ask him to make sure. Low fence hunting, all fair game, the only way to go. I am thinking Feb sometime, that's when they get a full winter coat and their mane is good and long and thick. Makes for a better mount.

I just wanted to make sure this thread did not turn into another "doozie" like some have recently so I cleared it up first.
Beautiful animal, too bad you can't eat 'em :(
