My Daughter's Jake

My 12 year old daughter shot her first turkey this morning, a 16 lb, 5 inch beard jake. It was a great hunt...worked lots of birds from the roost and had 2 jakes come in first. This one had nearly a full tail fan and gobbled like a big boy. He hung up at 40 yards but it was wide open and I gave her the go ahead to shoot and she hammered him!

Sweet...She's having a great run this year. A 150" buck and now her first Turkey. Awesome!!

Dan, she is having an unbelievable year...but I am having a better one! I have had a front row seat for all of this action!
JEP and WM, my kids have really made it easy for me, they love the things I love! I have an 11 year old daughter that does not hunt but she helps me butcher everything. She loves the outdoors too, like hiking, just doesn't have the desire to hunt. I am ok with that as long as she understands that it is ok with her that we hunt.
