Great Ohio Opener

At 7:40am I layed to rest a 22lb gobbler 11" beard 1.25" spurs. Came in gobbling every breath. Dad got close, but the bird hung up at 65 yards. Dad is trying them in the morning again.

Congrats the weather has everything messed up here we did call up a huge bird but me being short i couldnt get a clear veiw of his head from the bushes so he walked my dad was gonna let me shoot

I might be headin back down in the morning. Dad hunted our property and heard 4 different birds through 9am. He said they were everywhere. He had a jake within 10 steps of him on the food plot.

Ohio came in a week early this year! I've been mailing letters to the ODNR for years that ohio starts to late! They finally listened to the hunters who actually spend time in the woods... Thank you ohio Div. of wildlife!
