Add a jake to my team. Can't think of the number. Killed him 5:30 last night. 15 pound, 5 inch beard, 1/4 spurs. An absolute monster.

congradulations Ryan,
> 1 for my team.
>This morning I went out at 5:30, found the area I scouted last night at the end of a long draw with fields on both sides. 1st off I here a hen and then another. Then a hen few down into the 2 deck's and then I saw one wakeing up about 40 yards from me on the roost. I yelp'ed a few times and then this 4" 2 year old 1/4" spirs came from behind me and went stright for the jake deck. I waylayed him at 15yards. I didn't hear a gooble one. But I figured he was the one for me. At 6:45 I was done and on my way to the checking station. Only 8 birds have been checked in sence Monday opener.
>I'd post a pic but you all know what a 2 year old looks like LOL
>This is my 1st bird I called in on my own. Now for a big tom, hopefully with my crossbow on my lease.

I think I made a mistake on the age of my bird, he is a year old bird from what I was told about him having longer middle tail feathers. O well 1st bird can't complain.

Just a figure of speech there Hawk. In my other post, I called him a powerful jake, just for fun.
