we all know long spells of windy rainy conditions, rake havoc on spring gobbler plans, especially for the weekend warriors with limited time, nothing worse then your only day off, and trees are waving back and forth, while your trying to listen for a gobble, we do the best we can, and change tactics accordingly,
another thing will drop off gobbling, is prolong days of very nice clear weather, gobblers get very complacent durring long stretches, and some may find woods literarly loaded with gobblers, and gobbling drops off to Zero, i find this very often actually,
after a conversation i had with my friend from N, central K.y. last evening, this might very well be what he is experianceing, they have had many days in a row of beautiful weather, i know this first hand, having been down there last weekend, beautiful weather, and gobbling was heavy, eventually things drop off, there are a hole host of reason's why this might happen, but i gona tell you this right now, you ever get caught up in these conditions, when you know Tom's are present, and there just not gobbling, take a back seat for a few days, untill a weather change like a good hard rain for a day or two, you head back to those same woods right after that, i'll bet those woods explode, like it was the first day of the season again!!
