Do you know anyone that has taken some trophies in a unethical manner? Maybe they were hunting state land/WMA and shot it over a fence or something like that. If so tell us the story!

Last year I sat up on some birds that were across the street from me in hopes of them flying down across the road which they did all the time. I got there pretty early, but the birds where still gobbling despite it being dark. Then I heard an owl call across the road, of course the birds gobbled at it. Then I kept hearing the owl call getting closer to the birds. Then I heard a shot. A guy had killed a tom right on the limb at least 20 to 30 minutes before it would have been light enough to fly down.

Last year second day of the NY Youth Hunt last year I had birds workin right off the Roost on priviate property mind you, when all the sudden boom. Not only did this person sneak in on a bird that was being worked and tresspass he taught his kid to do it too. This really blew my mind but I guess you have to pass some sort of tradition on.
During the regular season last year, same type of thing. My son and I were hunting a large field right off a road. The spot we were in was a good 400 yards from the road. Well we have a nice Tom come out of the woods and work toward the lower corner. He's gobbling at me crows even a dog that was barking. I got him to start in our direction but he hung up. So I tell my son we're going to move and I'll get about 50 yards behind him and call. We set up and start calling the birds answering when all the sudden we hear someone put the brakes on and a car door slam...............Bang. This was a great Tom and if my son had shot it would have been worthy of a full mount, especially since it would have been my son's first bird.

Around here things are pretty good! 99% of land is private... I usually have a woods to myself or l or 2 other hunters! I know this blows a lot of your minds but the pressure in this part of Ohio isn't that great! In a normal year I'll see a couple trucks and maybe a hunter or 2?
Gobble Gobble!
