I love hunting in a light rain. If it rained during the night and it's fairly steady, the birds will almost always go to openings. As a rule, though, they generally fly down later than normal.
If rain starts during daylight and comes down fairly steady, the birds again will work into openings. My rule of thumb is that if it's raining hard enough to make the woods noisy, go to the fields.
