Can anyone recommend a good pair of boots that would be kind to the feet yet handle the rugged mountains?

I love my Rocky Longbeards. For a nearly knee high boot they are not as heavy as you would expect. They are water proof up to abot 14in of water, scent suppressent and snake proof. What I really like about them is the soles. They are similar to cleats. I have no trouble running up and down these ridges around here. The down side is they can be hot. Hope this helps.
