Looking to see what the cost of a deer head is in other states. Wanting to know if NJ is the highest in this catagory too!

Here it is $560 for a head with a turnaround time of about 8 months.
For a full mount its about $1800- $2000

I've seen anywhere from $300-$500 in KY - turnaround time from 6-12 months.

I believe I'm paying upwards of $600 for a shoulder mount now. Turnaround time is between 7 and 8 months.

Just had a Mulie and Antelope done, shoulder mount turned, $480 each, turn around time was 15 months

shoot i'm taking my stuff down there to you guys. up here (alberta canada) we pay anywhere from $650-$800 for a white tail deer shoulder mount with up to 2 years waiting time. fish go for $16 an inch.my elk mounts costs bettween $1200-$1500 each. my coyote full mount cost me $1200. my full size mount of my 6 foot black bear cost me $3400. my pine martin was $350. all with up to 2 years wait.

North West PA A shoulder mount on a deer is $350 to $400 depends where you go. My last in 07 was $380 turnaround in 10 to 12 months.

Sounds like it pays to be a taxidermist in Canada!!

not only pays. its so hard to find a good taxidermist up here, that even the realy bad ones are a year or more behind. if you have any ability at all and can turn out even adverage work you'll do good up here.if your realy good and know what your doing you can almost write your own check.and if you want to come up i've got last years whitetail, 2 muledeer.1 blackbear and a 2 year old elk all stored in a big freezer waiting for you to open shop. :bow)

Uh, no complaints here...$230 for shoulder mount, 9-10 months turn around.
