Hunter, Archer, in my area in Maryland just north of DC we have a 5 day limit from 15th of Aug till the 14th of Sept. I haven't been out this season but maybe if the weather is nasty enough I may get out friday evening. The geese are staying in the fields. i mean golf courses LOL. Smart birds.

Davehawk is right... my golf course is full to the brim with geese. I will soon have to deploy some "integrated pest management" to control them. :D :D

Our early season has started, I think. I haven't paid much attention this year. Trying to concentrate on my first elk hunt. I was out in the field the other morning and seen about 200 of them in a wheat stubble field. Made me want to take a little time and go after them. Oh well maybe when I get back from the elk hunt. My luck is the season will be closed. I will have to check into that. Has anyone got a good idea what the duck flight will be like this year. I have heard both good and bad. I dunno......Hope it is better then last year.

Wonder why some states allow generous bag limits on canvasbacks and AR has a closed season for them?

Geese? Did someone say, geese?

I shot this teeny-tiny one just before the first split ended 2 weeks ago...and it's a shame it's so small. :D

Shoreman... amn shame you wasted a shell on something that small. :D You got to learn to leave them grow up... or at least leave them come back up here for me. ;)

Nice "honker" for sure.

No Canvas back over there in AR? Wow, we have the same here in Cali and it is closed in Oregon this year as well. It's a shame, I see lots of them in the local ponds inside and just outside of town. Pintail was closed for the first half here and now the limit is one per day.
