Nice pics, thanks for sharin'. Are your layout blinds Avery's or Final Approach? I'm looking at getting a couple and have friends that have the Final Approach but haven't had my hands on an Avery. Gimme your thoughts if you have any experience with both.

archer1,

Those are Final Approach blinds. They are amazingly comfortable and easy to move and set-up. They also blend-in well. and can easily be camouflaged.

I'll give them a 10! ;)

However....learning to shoot lying down can be frustrating. I shot low constantly until I concentrated on bringing the bead up, and then I scored.

Thanks Shoreman, I have been in a Final Approach and can't imagine the Avery being any better. Got a bid in on one of each on e-bay right now.

I use the new X-land'r blind and I love it. Here's a tip Shoreman for your blind. When there is snow on the ground, use the fake snow in a can that you use on windows for christmas. Spray that on your blind and it will literally disappear. The fake snow washes off your blind with a warm rag. We used it this year in fields when it snowed and we had geese landing feet from us. Give it a try, it works very well.

10 Point,

We piled actual snow around the blinds and pulled hay from the ground to grass them in better. The shots you see on the page were after we had moved them a bit, so it really doesn't do the set-up justice!

The blinds are comfy, but it took a bit of doing to conect, at least as far as I was concerned. I found myself consistently shooting low. What was your experience like the first time you used one?

I am used to just laying on the ground and shooting that way. The first time I used my x-land'r I missed. Boy did I hear hell for that one. Luckily my group made up for me smile.gif

Please....we called in a flock and we both missed at 10-15 yards. We then called them back and missed them again.

I could have cried....

Well, I've got one Final Approach Eliminator and two Avery Finishers en route. I got carried away on E-bay. Let you know how they work out, but it'll probably be next season before they get any use :( .
