I have a 700 Mountain rifle chambered in 3006. It has a factory camoed Kevlar stock. These rifles were only made in camo like that for one year, and then the kevlar stocks were discontinued later after that, but what year was my rifle made?

Are you sure it is a kevlar stock? I thought that only came on custom shop guns. What camo is it. I have the model 700 camo synthetic. I have seen very few of them. It is Mossy Oak camo, and I got it in 1992. It is not the prettiest gun on the block, but she is a shooter. All I did was float the barrel, and found the ammo she liked. Groups rarely stray past 1/2 inch at 100 yards.

Yes it is Kevlar stock. They used to come on the mountain rifles from the factory until they discovered they shot so well and the stocks were so strong. Then they moved them to the custom shop only.
Most of the Kevlar stocks are a non reflective grey color, but they came in camo for one year.

Now that I think back, I think I remember seeing that gun in a catalog many years ago. Is it a green style of camo? I know they were making the camo synthetic model 700s in the early 90's. I am not sure how many years they made those. I have seen very few of them, and I think it was only a year or so. Mine probably won't be worth squat if they ever become collectors items LOL. I will have used it too much. If the rifle I am thinking about is the one you have, I am thinking it came around earlier than the camo synthetics. Wish I could help more.

Thats OK.
Yes it is a really green camo. I really dont care when it was made, It shoots really good and I dont want to sell it, I was just more curious than anything.
Ill keep it to shoot deer and the occasional one-gallon-milk-jug-filled-with-ice. :D
